Slumber Party at Cousin Anne's is hosted in my Upper East Side studio apartment. Booking in advance is required. I have a private yard and a "Four Season Room" to have some additional room during the colder months. When your dog stays here, they will participate with my day school students and have time to learn and socialize. If you like, I can do specific one-on-one training with your dog, which must be planned prior to visit.
The prerequisite price is $185 - $195, per night, depending on the temperament and/or size of your dog. This per night price is for minimum four to six visits ($740- 1100 or $780- 1170 and no sales tax) as I've found that's an average amount of time it takes a dog to get used to the Cousin Anne Routine. Ideally, for the first stay, it would be the entire four to six visits. If not, it must be a minimum of once/month for two nights, over a consecutive three-month period. Once your dog has acclimated to our lifestyle, the price goes down to $95 -$105 again, depending on temperament and/or size of your dog. I can only accommodate one large dog.
When your dog is here, your dog will sleep in a Nest (Crate.) They will get "Room Service" for meal time and have an opportunity to join our "Clean Bowl Club." Individual water dishes are provided in the nest. There are NO common drinking dishes. All dishes are cleaned in the dishwasher every night. I offer exercise, guidance and love and our days will follow my daily day students' schedule. Before bed time at 10pm, we always do an evening pack walk. Typically, we will walk to the East River Esplanade or to Schnitzelplatz, a little park on 79th St., between First and Second Ave. Sometimes we go to the Carl Schurz dog run, if we are the only ones there, or we will go to Gracie Mews and I'll get a hot chocolate or tea and the dogs can get some "lifestyle" learning. Wait Staff is super friendly and loves to help with the dogs and their learning.
Good grooming is also a requirement for staying with Cousin Anne. I have a Student "PawBook" which is on my website. These guidelines are also to be followed by Slumber Party guests. I will clean ears and eyes, free of charge, when needed. I will brush your dog every seven (or less if requested) days for a $5 additional charge, this is a requirement if staying longer than five days. Also, if your dog stays longer than five days, I will need to give your dog a bubble bath, in my tub, and a blow dry. There is a $45 additional charge for that service. So, if doing extended stay, this will need to happen every five days. Ie: If staying for 21 days, will need to have 3 Bubble Baths, Blow Drys and brushing, which will be an additional $150. I DON'T trim nails, those will need to be done PRIOR to stay. If they get exceptionally long during an Extended Stay, I will take them to a Groomer Colleague (Roger, owner of Puppy Tale Lodge-PTL), which will incur an additional fee. Also, if you prefer to have Professional Bath/Groom, I can take your dog to PTL, also at additional fee. This will need to be planned PRIOR to stay.
For social media, I only use Instagram, which will post to Facebook. I typically ONLY do stories. I will tag you so you can see what your dog is doing. I will also post pictures to your account on the website.
